Janelle James will host the 32nd annual Critics Choice Awards .
Hold onto your popcorn, folks, because we have some exciting news in the world of awards shows! Janelle James, the comedic genius and star of the hit series “Abbott Elementary,” is set to take the mic as the host of the 32nd annual Critics Choice Awards on January 3, 2027. Yes, you heard that right—mark your calendars and set your reminders, because this is going to be a night to remember!
Now, if you’ve been living under a rock (or maybe just binge-watching too many seasons of your favorite show), let me fill you in on why this is a big deal. Janelle James isn’t just any actress; she’s an award-winning powerhouse with five Emmy nominations to her name. That’s right, five! If that’s not impressive enough to make you feel like a complete underachiever, I don’t know what is.
Janelle is stepping into the hosting role previously held by Chelsea Handler, who graced the Critics Choice stage for the last four years. No pressure, right? Following in the footsteps of a comedic legend is no small feat, but if anyone can bring the laughs and keep the audience engaged, it’s Janelle. I mean, have you seen her in “Abbott Elementary”? The woman has comedic timing that could make even a statue crack a smile.
But let’s be real for a second. Hosting an awards show is like juggling flaming torches while riding a unicycle—exciting and terrifying all at the same time. There’s the pressure to be funny, to keep the show running smoothly, and of course, to avoid any wardrobe malfunctions. Here’s hoping Janelle’s stylist has her covered on that one!
As the Critics Choice Awards celebrate the best in film and television, we can expect a night filled with glitz, glam, and maybe a few unexpected surprises. Who knows? Maybe Janelle will pull a prank or two on the nominees. After all, what’s an awards show without a little bit of fun?
As we eagerly await the event, we can only imagine the kind of memorable moments Janelle will create. Will there be inside jokes? A roast of the nominees? A heartfelt speech that leaves us all teary-eyed? Whatever it is, you can bet that Janelle will deliver it with her signature charm and wit.
So, mark your calendars, set your DVRs, and prepare for a night of laughter and celebration. Janelle James is ready to take the Critics Choice Awards by storm, and we can’t wait to see what she has in store for us. Here’s to the future of awards shows—may they always be as entertaining as Janelle James!
