Sep 23, 2026 … If anyone at the NRL knew music festivals in Australia they’d have Hilltop Hoods on speed dial. And while it’s become a meme in Australian …
Ah, the sweet taste of victory! Nothing quite compares to the exuberance of a grand final win, especially when you’re the Sydney Roosters. After their triumphant victory over Newcastle, the Roosters decided to celebrate in style, and by style, I mean a late-night bash that rolled into the wee hours of Monday morning. Because who needs sleep when you’ve just conquered the rugby league world?
Playmaker Daly Cherry-Evans, ever the social butterfly, couldn’t help but drop hints about future gatherings. At the Sydney Cricket Ground, he teased fans with promises of another gathering at the Clovelly Hotel. Because nothing says ‘we won!’ like a pub crawl, right? I mean, if you can’t celebrate with a pint (or five), are you even really celebrating?
And let’s not forget about departing winger Mark Nawaqanitawase, who made an appearance at the Fan Day Celebration. The man knows how to make an exit! He must have been the life of the party, probably breakdancing his way into the hearts of fans, and who knows, maybe even showing off some moves that would make even the most seasoned b-boys jealous.
Now, let’s take a moment to appreciate the sheer brilliance of combining breakdancing with beer. It’s like the perfect marriage of athleticism and, well, let’s call it ‘liquid courage’. You can just picture it: players spinning on their heads, while others cheer them on with a beer in hand, because what could possibly go wrong?
As the night unfolded, one can only imagine the shenanigans that ensued. Did someone pull a hamstring while attempting a particularly ambitious move? Did anyone accidentally spill their drink while trying to bust a move? The possibilities are endless, and frankly, I’m here for it.
In case you missed it, the Roosters have now set the bar (or the dance floor) high for future celebrations. If you’re not breakdancing with a beer in hand at your next victory party, are you even doing it right?
So here’s to the Sydney Roosters, their epic grand final win, and the unforgettable celebrations that followed. May your future gatherings be filled with laughter, dance moves that defy gravity, and just the right amount of beer. Cheers to that!
